Greenland Strategies

Understand the opportunity before committing capital.

We help family offices, specialist investment firms, private equity teams, and corporate investors investigate commercial opportunities in Greenland. Our work connects firsthand interviews with commercial analysis and the material an investment committee needs to make a decision.

Discuss an investment question ↗

A promising thesis needs evidence from the people closest to it.

A presentation can explain why an opportunity sounds attractive. Research should test whether the customer need, operating model, local relationships, and commercial assumptions support it.

We interview the operators, customers, prospective partners, and specialists relevant to your question. We preserve the full conversations, compare perspectives, and connect the findings to the decision in front of you. The outcome may support proceeding, changing the plan, or walking away.

01

Test the commercial thesis.

Investigate customer demand, partner fit, routes to market, and operating assumptions. Identify which claims have support and which still depend on evidence you do not have.

02

Build a research record you can revisit.

Receive recorded interviews, transcripts, an organized thematic index, and findings connected to their sources. Hear the reasoning behind a conclusion and compare conflicting accounts.

03

Equip the investment committee.

Bring together the thesis, supporting evidence, uncertainties, risks, and recommended next steps in a written assessment and decision workshop. Scope further specialist work where the question requires it.

04

Explain the opportunity clearly.

Commission a private documentary, investor film, or board presentation from the same research. We distinguish substantiated findings from assumptions and agree participant permissions and distribution before production.

We tailor the work to your investment mandate.

Family offices

For teams considering direct investments, we help define a thesis, understand the commercial context, and assess potential relationships before committing further resources.

Specialist investment firms

For sector-focused investors, we investigate the customer, operator, infrastructure, and stakeholder questions behind a specific opportunity.

Private equity

For a defined acquisition or portfolio-company expansion, we scope customer and stakeholder research, market-entry planning, and board communications around the transaction or growth decision.

Corporate investors

For companies bringing both capital and operating capabilities, we assess how a proposed product, service, or partnership fits local needs and delivery conditions.

Start with the decision you need to make.

Tell us the opportunity, your mandate, what you already know, and when you need an answer. We’ll define the research question, relevant interview participants, deliverables, and scope.

What can an engagement deliver?

A scoped engagement can include an interview dataset, commercial assessment, stakeholder map, recommendations, and an investment-committee workshop. Films and presentations are agreed as additional deliverables where useful.

How do you handle conflicting evidence?

We preserve differences between accounts, distinguish findings from assumptions, and identify unanswered questions. Interview research provides depth and context; it is not automatically a representative market sample.

Can the research remain private?

Audience, confidentiality, participant permissions, access, and retention are agreed for each project. Client research is not published in The Greenland Brief without the necessary permissions.

Where does your role fit alongside other advisers?

Our role is commercial research, market-entry strategy, and communications. Legal, tax, financial, geological, and engineering assessments require the relevant specialists. We scope the boundaries and specialist contributions around the decision.
